Pink-backed pelican (Pelecanus rufescens) on water. This pelican is found in parts of Africa and Asia. It is one of the smallest species of pelican with a wingspan of around 2.4 metres. It is a freshwater carnivore whose diet includes small invertebrates and amphibians.
