Ref: semp2Description:
Houseleek (Sempervivum giuseppii). There are many different varieties of the succulent sempervivum, commonly called houseleek. This one is a low growing clump forming plant native to Spain, particularly the higher rocky regions. It is a vigorous evergreen perennial having small star shaped flowers of dark pink in the summer. The leaves are fleshy, oval shaped with dark pointed tips and they form tight rosettes. It likes full sun and well drained soil and can cope with very low temperatures so is fully hardy. Ideal for a rock garden or as a pot plant.
