Cascabel chilli (Capsicum annuum)
Ref: 600042Description:
Cascabel chilli. Fruit and seeds from the cascabel chilli, a cultivar of the domestic chilli plant (Capsicum annuum). The fruit measures 2-3 centimetres in diameter. When dried, the seeds within the fruit create a rattling noise when shaken. Chillis are used in cooking for their hot flavour, which is caused by the capsaicin compound.
