Ref: eagle16Description:
Great-chested or black-chested buzzard eagle (Geranoaetus melanoleucus). This raptor is classed as a large buzzard rather than an eagle. A solitary bird of prey, it spends much time soaring at great heights on thermal currents, watching over its territory. It is found in remote habitats in South America and is thought to be locally common.
